Composing and Arranging.

Since his time at the R.C.M. Martyn has always written and arranged material for his instrumental students and as a part of his theory tuition. In 2006 after writing his book on the prehistory of the far west of Cornwall as a part of the arts project Ancient Stones of Kernow which he created with his wife, the artist Mandy Jackson; the necessity arose to write a large scale orchestral work as the seminal piece for all the musical elements of the project. This rekindled his interest in composition in general and he has continued to work on revisions of earlier compositions and to develop new ideas.
